2025 WEATHER REPORT
This 8-foot long work is a weather blanket crocheted in colors to reflect the temperature. The number of stitches record the length of day and phases of the moon. The added tokens record events. It was done in the spirit of the fictional Madame Defarge, based on the historical Olympe de Gouges, known as “Fury” and founder of the apocryphal Society of Knitting Women.
The work is grotesque; the year was ugly.
